Introducing Limonene and Linalool. Can't seem to get through a single task? Hard to finish the smallest check on a to-do list? These terps help.
Focus is crucial for success and achievement. It allows us to direct our attention, energy, and efforts towards specific goals, while ignoring distractions. It boosts productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness. With focus, we can delve deep into subjects, find solutions, and make informed decisions. Focus sharpens our mind, enhances learning, and unleashes our full potential. Whether in personal or professional endeavors, it propels us towards success and fulfillment.
One of the biggest questions we're asked at Appalachian Standard is, which strain works best for honing in this incredible force? In order to determine this, we took a deep dive into each of our terpene profiles. A terpene is a naturally occurring compound found in various plants, including citrus fruits, pine trees, and of course cannabis. They are responsible for the distinct aromas and flavors associated with these plants and often possess therapeutic properties, some of which help with focus.
Limonene
So let's get to it and discuss one of the two terpenes we'll be examining! Limonene is a prominent terpene commonly found in the peels of citrus fruits such as lemons, oranges, and grapefruits. It emits a bright, citrusy aroma and is widely used in the flavoring industries. In addition to its pleasant scent, limonene has demonstrated potential health benefits, including uplifting and mood-enhancing effects. These effects, through increased alertness and improved mood, can absolutely aid in focus! In addition, this terp is great for absorbing other cannabinoids by enhancing the permeability of cell membranes.
Linalool
Linalool, the second terpene we're looking at, is known for its delicate floral scent and is found in various plants such as lavender, jasmine, and coriander, and of course the ladies. Its aromatic profile is often described as soothing and calming, which may seem antithetical to focus but in fact can help. Reducing anxiety and promoting relaxation could indirectly aid in concentration, especially when coupled with other terpenes and cannabinoids. It has been said to have nootropic properties as well, which are cognitive-enhancing effects exhibited by certain substances or compounds. That's very yee-haw.
Which of our strains contain these terpenes, and can thus help with focus? Abacus is a clear winner for both limonene and linalool! This strain is one of our favs. Rock Candy comes in at a close second, and Cherry Mom is another great option for focus. Which one will you try?
